Our Offering
- Theme based music Like "Monsoon
melodies", "Peace and Unity" etc.
- Mystic Verses: Spiritual music based on poetry
from Sufi/Mystic saints, Yogis. Mostly nirguni
(devoid of any
religious descriptions) in nature, this music brings out
various philosophies of the world .
- Colors of Diversity: Multi-lingual
devotional/patriotic music
Compositions presented in Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, Tamil,
Gujarati and Punjabi.
- Pure entertainment For a set of light, foot-taping
compositions. Fusion with drums and bass guitar is also
done.
Some of the typical programmes done so far:
Shastriya Sangeet: Hindustani Classical Music Programme.
Usually consists of one elaborated raaga, followed by
shorter pieces. Usually traditional, they can either be
philosophical/ Nirguni or based on Lord Krishna's raasaleela.The vocalist is accompanied by
the Tabla and Harmonium/Violin.
Music of love: Semi-Classical/Light Classical music.
performance consists of various semi-classical or folk based forms like kajri,
chaiti, holi, jhoola etc., bringing out the exuberant flavours of rustic India. Accompanied by Flute / Sitar/Harmonium /violin/ Sitar and Tabla /Rhythm pad.
Mystic verses/Sufi tunes:Sufi/Nirguni music programme.
Compositions of the great Sufi poets of the central Asian region like the 13th
century poet Amir Khusrau, Bulla Shah, Kabir, Guru Govind Singh etc. Spiritual in nature, Sufi poetry promotes the spirit of equality and oneness among humans.
Coloursof Diversity: music that celebrates 'unity in diversity'.
Multi-lingual devotional/patriotic music Compositions presented in Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, Tamil,
Gujarati and Punjabi
Bhaktimala:spiritual/religious music.
Devotional music of poet saints of Bhakti cult like Surdas, Mirabai, Tulsidas, Tukaram,
Namdev and the Haridasas of Karnataka like Purandaradasa,Kanakadasa, etc. is presented in this programme. Languages include Hindi, Marathi and Kannada.
Uttar-Dakshin Sammilan: Confluence of Hindustani and Carnatic styles.
A confluence of Hindustani and Carnatic classical styles also called “Jugalbandi”.Hindustani vocal accompanied by Tabla and Keyboard. Carnatic vocal accompanied by Violin
and Mrudanga and/or Ghatam.
Indo-western fusion:
New-age semi-classical and sufi music performed with Indian and western instruments like tabla, bass guitar, drums, keyboard etc.
